PLANET MassCONECT's Institute for Community Health Program Planning


Are you ready to build quality, health-focused programs in your community?

This Institute will help you put prevention into practice.

 

Graduates will learn to build evidence-based public health programs, one step at a time.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Assess community need
  • Find partners
  • Find programs
  • Localize and customize programs
  • Measure success

 

There will also be networking and funding opportunities available only to Institute graduates.

 

Friday June 4th and 11th, 2010; 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

  • Professionals who plan and implement community-based health programs, such as coordinators, health program planners, managers, directors, counselors, and nurses.

  • There are only 12 slots available for professionals from Worcester.
  • Applications for this FREE training institute must be received by May 4.

Commissioner Auerbach Back in Worcester

The Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health invites you to participate in their Fifth Round of Regional Health Dialogues.  The Central Regional Dialogue will be on Friday, May 14th, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the YWCA of Central Mass., One Salem Square, 01608.  Click here to see the entire flier, which includes several other locations the Dialogues will take place.  Common Pathways hopes to see you there as a part of our public health discussion.

The panel will feature Michael O’Brien, City Manager, and Dennis Irish of St. Vincent Hospital.  They will present on new local public health restructuring for the city of Worcester.
